Do you want to work in the only well-established nursery setting? We have an exciting opportunity for a Nursery Cook to join our team at Oaklands Littlebrook Day Nursery.
We are recruiting experienced and efficient Nursery Cooks for well-established nursery setting in Englefield Green, Egham. We are looking for Nursery Cooks to work as part of a team to assist in providing a safe, secure and stimulating environment for children. To work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, carers and other multi professionals. To be committed to safeguarding and creating an inclusive environment.
You will be joining a highly skilled team that are customer focused which believes in developing the staff and achieving the best start for the children in the care. Responsibilities
- Preparing and delivery of nutritionally balanced, attractive family-style meals for all children aged 3 months - 5 years
- Planning menus, taking into account the nursery budget, the foods in season, local availability and nutritional requirements for children
- Ensuring that hygiene and cleanliness within the kitchen is of the highest standard in accordance with Environmental Health requirements and legislation
- Following kitchen procedures and maintain records in accordance with Environmental Health policies and processes.
- You must have experience of working as cook previously, ideally in a Nursery or similar setting.
Requirements
- Food Safety and Hygiene, Level 2
- A genuine passion and interest in working with children
- A team player who uses their own initiative
- Punctual and reliable
- DBS checked and registered on the update service
Experience
- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
